Intercession
is the action of intervening on behalf
of another.

Intercessory prayer is the prayer
said on behalf of
another. Kneeling
before God to bring their needs to God.

Its synonyms include the following – mediation, negotiation and intervention.

Therefore, an intercessor
is a person who intervenes on behalf of another especially by
prayer. He is a watchman – a watchman does not sleep; not only physical sleep but also
spiritual sleep. An intercessor is spiritually alert and
conscious of his/environment and happenings.

Intercessors in most cases are also interceptors. In the place of prayers,
God moves and turns things around. They have divine advance information about
someone or a situation and if it is negative, as they perform their duty as
intercessors, they will be intercepting the enemy and bringing the will of God
to happen in the life of an individual or in a situation.
