Providence is what some would call
coincidence, and someone rightly referred to coincidence as actually
God-incidence. God orchestrates and is in control. Situations that may appear
negative from our current perspective may just be opportunities for growth, and
not really negative in the overall view. We are in the world for a reason, life
is a tapestry, individually, we are part of a big story, we should therefore
act our part with the understanding of the ‘script writer’ and what He has in
mind. God is good all the time and everything will end in ways that glorify
him. In our lives, and in whatever we face, we should have a big picture view,
a sense of being on a journey, the destination of which will finally help us
know that providence along the way was for a purpose.

God is
not arbitrary, He is focused and purposeful, thus nothing is a random happening
even when they seem so. There is a purpose in our existence and what we are
going through forms the part and pieces that will eventually come together to
make a whole. What we face is not abnormal in that it will ultimately reveal
that God weaves all things together and makes them into one big story – God’s
story.
