Research reporting is a crucial aspect of any academic programme. Most, if not all, diplomas or degrees end up with a project, thesis, or dissertation written before graduation. The book is made up of nine chapters. Chapter 1 explains the concept and principles or research reporting. This is to help the reader understand the basic principles and importance of reporting his research. 

Chapter 2 dealt with how to write the preliminary pages. This chapter was written to clearly guide the reader through the format of the preliminary section.

Chapters 3 to 7 focused on writing the major five chapters of a research project. The author took time to describe each section of the five chapters. Practical examples and illustrations were presented to assist the reader in comprehending the concept and purpose of each section.

The remaining two chapters dealt with referencing. While chapter 8 explains in-text citation, chapter 9 focuses on writing the reference section. The American Psychological Association (APA) style was adopted in explaining how to write the in-text citation and reference list.
