Description

My name is Ify-Asia Chiemeziem, I am
a sexpert. It’s a job that exposed me to the inherent needs of people in
intimate relationships, especially marriage. It also exposed me, glaringly, to
the real problems that either make marriages difficult or end them.

Marriage is a union between a man
and a woman, who believe they can work because they have what it takes to
start and keep a family. And this marriage is made holy and legal by the
authorities (religious body and the court). But then, why do these marriages
fail?

The worse part of it is that
marriages supposedly built on the church doctrines or guidance still suffers
major unhappiness and breakages. Why? What are those secrets about marriage
young, prospective married people are not told?

What are those truths they do not
know or learnt from marriage classes and from their elders who are already in
marriages? Let’s take for example, the issue of sex in marriage. Most young or
not so young couples start marriage without knowing the real truth about this
important aspect of married life. This topic is glossed over during marriage
classes or never talked about during counseling. Yet, this causes couples fight
to finish over it at home when outsiders are not present.

What about those myths that confuses
youths when they consider marriage. Many unmarried people believe that they
need to have sex before marriage so to test their sexual compatibility. As a
sexpert who have handled many problems in marriages first-hand, I can tell you
that it doesn’t work that way.

I have worked with a lot of couples
who had plenty sex before marriage but encountered serious sexual issues right
after their wedding. And it lasted well into their married life, causing havoc.
It is time we really look into the institution we call marriage and see if we
are really teaching and doing the right thing. As a minister or teacher, are
you teaching the very realities of marriage? Have you taken your time to study
real marriages and pinpoint the problems they face and how to solve them?

I have known Dr.Simeon
Ajueyitsi as a teacher who has passion for correcting the ills found in our
modern marriages. It is that passion that drove him to produce this collection
of marital information that can help a Christian marriage last long and also
enjoyed by the couple involved.

He carefully outlined how a marriage
is built on the concept of God, which is the first chapter of the book. And
went on to explain the essentials single people need while planning for
marriage. Even the warfare singles and married people might face in the
course of chasing their marital dreams. It’s a full package, a trove from
an experienced man, passing down wisdom he had garnered over the years as a
teacher, a researcher and also a married man.

This book should act as a guide because it
touches every aspect of solid marriage. And I am grateful to be the one writing
its forward. Thank you.
