The drama
explores the theme of resilience as the community of Anioma Town situated in
Delta State in the South-South Geo-Political Region of Nigeria, West Africa,
faces numerous and grave challenges, ranging from land grabbing by a few
wealthy individuals in their midst to intimidation and of course insecurity as
a result of the ominous presence of killer herdsmen in the once peaceful and
vibrant town. The people’s main occupation are farming and hunting but they’re
no longer safe in their homes and cannot go to farm or the forest anymore to
plant or harvest their crops, or to hunt wild animals due to fear of being
attacked, kidnapped or even killed on their farms and forests, while the
resultant effects are poverty, hunger and strife. Despite the hardships, the
people of Anioma demonstrate their unwavering determination to overcome these
obstacles and rebuild their lives.
