                 ABOUT THE BOOK

Lost Potential: Reclaiming a Generation’s Future is
structured around family dynamics, emotional tension, and powerful
storytelling. Set in the backdrop of a struggling economy, the story follows
the journey of three siblings—Amara, a brilliant college graduate burdened by
unemployment; Jide, an underemployed factory worker; and Zainab, a secondary
school senior torn between hope and fear for her future. With their parents,
Adediran and Ifeoma, facing their own challenges, the family grapples with
generational aspirations, economic pressures, and the pursuit of success in an
unforgiving world.

This family-centered story balances raw emotion with moments
of triumph and hope, offering a gripping narrative that’s both relatable and
inspiring. It focuses on family resilience, intergenerational dreams versus
reality, the economic and emotional toll on youth unemployment with hope and
activism as tools for reclaiming the future.

Through heartbreaks, resilience, and moments of truth, Lost
Potential explores the intersection of family, societal failure, and the
enduring fight for a better tomorrow.
